Privacy Policy
Effective date: 16 October 2026
This policy explains how YouToub.org (“YouToub,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the website and playlist archive. YouToub lets account holders save and search information about public YouTube playlists. It does not host or download YouTube videos.
Operator and privacy contact: YouToub.org is operated by Orlin Bobchev. For privacy questions or requests, email orlinbobchev@outlook.com.
Information we handle
- Account information: display name, email address, password verification hash for password accounts, account creation and sign-in dates, and account status. Passwords are not stored as readable text.
- Google sign-in information: if you choose Google sign-in or connect Google to an existing account, we receive your Google account’s stable identifier, email address, and name. The sign-in request uses only the
openid, email, andprofilescopes. We use this information to create, authenticate, and link your YouToub account. We do not request access to your Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar, or YouTube account data through Google OAuth. We do not retain Google OAuth access or refresh tokens. - Playlist archive information: the public playlist ID and title; video IDs; video titles, descriptions, thumbnails, position, availability status, publication date, channel name, and duration where available; and dates when an item was first or last observed. YouToub reads public playlist information through the YouTube Data API using the service’s API key. It does not read private playlists.
- Service and security information: session and anti-forgery tokens, login times, playlist synchronization requests and outcomes, and rate-limit records. Rate-limit records use keyed hashes for account identifiers and IP addresses. The web host may also record technical details such as IP address, browser information, requested pages, and timestamps in its server logs; the host controls its log retention.
How we use information
We use this information to provide and secure accounts, let you manage and search your playlist archive, synchronize public playlists, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use Google sign-in information for advertising.
Where European data protection law applies, we generally process account and playlist information to provide the service you request and process security and reliability information for our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service. Google sign-in and reCAPTCHA are used when you choose those features. You may stop using those features, subject to the account access you need.
Google, YouTube, and other service providers
Google processes information when you use Google sign-in, complete reCAPTCHA during registration, load YouTube images or the presentation video, or use YouTube-related features. The presentation video is embedded in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. When your browser contacts Google or YouTube, those providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details, and the requested resource, and may handle it under their own policies.
We use a hosting provider to operate the website and database. These providers process information only as needed to provide infrastructure, security, and support. We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to valid legal process, or to protect users, the service, or others. We do not sell or rent account information to third parties.
Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. YouToub uses YouTube API Services and is subject to the YouTube API Services Developer Policies and YouTube Terms of Service.
Retention and deletion
We keep account information while your account is active. You may request account deletion by emailing the privacy contact above. We will remove or anonymize account information and account-specific playlist associations where we can, subject to legal requirements and legitimate security needs.
YouToub is designed to retain a history of playlist entries, including entries later marked as removed or unavailable. Archiving a playlist stops it from appearing as an active follow but does not itself erase its saved history. Public video metadata is held in a shared service cache, separate from account names and email addresses; it may remain after an account or playlist association is removed. This means an account deletion request may not erase a public metadata snapshot that is retained in the shared cache. We retain security, synchronization, and technical records for as long as reasonably needed for their stated purposes, and hosting logs follow the host’s retention settings.
Cookies and browser storage
The account portal uses a first-party, essential session cookie to keep you signed in and protect forms. It is configured as secure, HTTP-only, and same-site, and is intended to expire when your browser session ends. Google sign-in, reCAPTCHA, and embedded YouTube content may use their own technologies under Google’s and YouTube’s policies.
Security and international processing
We use access controls and technical safeguards intended to protect information. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Service providers or Google may process information in countries outside your own; where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will rely on a lawful transfer mechanism.
Your choices and rights
You can stop using Google sign-in, disconnect your Google identity by contacting us, or request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your personal information by emailing orlinbobchev@outlook.com. Rights depend on the law that applies and may be subject to exceptions. If European data protection law applies, you may also complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.
Children
YouToub is not intended for children who are not legally able to create an account under the laws that apply to them. We do not knowingly collect account information from such children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has created an account may contact us to request its removal.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. The effective date above shows when it was last revised. If a change materially affects how Google user data is used, we will provide notice and obtain any consent required before applying the new use.
Service limits: YouTube content and metadata are controlled by YouTube and their respective owners. Synchronization can be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable, and historical entries can change or be removed when the service, law, or provider requirements require it.
